Bob Musso

 Robert  Musso is an engineer/ musician based in New York City who has recorded projects on five continents. Well known as producer Bill Laswell’s chief engineer, Robert has also worked on recording projects with a multitude of artists, ranging from Mick Jagger to His Holiness the Dalai Llama–with Miles Davis, Al Green, Bob Marley, Herbie Hancock, Sting, and Steve Vai in between–to acknowledge just a few of over two thousand albums on which Robert has recorded and/or played. (Typical Musso quote: “The only time I recorded Bob Dylan was when he played harmonica on a Sly & Robbie album”).

As a studio musician, Robert has played on dozens of Bill Laswell projects, including Material’sHallucination Engine, One Down, and most recently, the multinational Method of Defiance project. He’s also recorded with Tom Waits (Raindogs), Ginger Baker (Horses and Trees), and PM Dawn (The Bliss Album).

 Robert has also played with jazz legend Ornette Coleman, funk keyboardist Bernie Worrell, Dave Dreiwitz and Claude Coleman (from Ween), bassist Jonas Hellborg, and Joe Russo (drummer, Furthur/Grateful Dead).

 Robert has worked or performed on several Gold Records including: Mick Jagger, She’s The Boss; Matisyahu, Youth; PM Dawn, The Bliss Album.

 Robert Musso uses Pigtronix pedals in both professional studio recording sessions and, as both a live and studio artist, with his personal guitar pedal board.
